My Child, My Chance

Parents are waking up to the dangers of today’s sex education.  Can you protect your children from the confusion surrounding gender and sexuality?

From kindergarten through high school, kids are being taught to consider their gender as fluid and their sexuality as free.  Stigma, culture, religion, media, stereotypes, homophobia, self-image, and self-awareness have been identified as barriers to accepting all forms of gender identity and sexuality.  Radical sex education tackles and topples these barriers one by one.  This approach whittles away at your children’s sense of identity, affecting who they believe themselves to be.

Using Ontario, Canada’s curriculum as case-in-point, this book serves as a wake-up call and guide for parents in any region of Canada or the United States and beyond.  Breaking down the harmful messages that dominate the curriculum and culture, you will be equipped to recognize the strategies and ideologies that put your child at risk.   In the process, you will find that God’s Word is still living and active as it applies to culture and the issues you face as a parent today.

Created for a Purpose (CFAP) is a series of discipleship materials that teach children about their identity and purpose starting with God’s Word.  Kids need to recognize that their identity is not rooted in their gender or sexuality but in who God created them to be.

Ephesians 2:10 is CFAP’s key verse:  “For we are God’s masterpiece. He has created us anew in Christ Jesus, so we can do the good things he planned for us long ago.” Children will explore this and other truths from God’s Word to discover who God says they really are.  The lessons are timed so that they correspond with what is typically taught at school, building a foundation that will help them interpret messages from school, friends or the culture.

It is ideal for parents to be the ones who introduce their kids to the topics of sexuality (including homosexuality and the world’s views about sex); and gender (including the world’s views about self).  CFAP’s parent guide has helpful background information, tips, and encouragement.  The children’s workbooks are filled with age-specific, engaging activities to solidify the lessons they are learning.  With these materials, you will create a keepsake scrapbook to chronicle their journey of discovering their identity in Christ.
